GLBTQ adults!!! What events do you want!!

So after months of planning, thinking, studying, we're trying to figure out what, exactly, the 18+ crowd wants to do! We are working on a nightclub thing, but we want to do so much more! We have thrown around ideas like sporting events, watching Monday Night Football, Tattoo Parties, Book Clubs... but I figure, why not just ask you guys?!

 

I would like to get something working for the next few weeks. It could be a one-time event or a weekly thing! Please give me your ideas, suggestions, comments, anything!!

I know that Lauren Horbal has a LGBTQ  library started in her house, so a book club could have a lot of potential.

Hey,

Megan Preis had posted a link to a video for "The Story of Stuff". It's a really interesting video about how humans consume and discard "stuff" and the impact it's having on our environment. They have a bunch of short videos on YouTube, including "The Story of Electronics" and "The Story of Cosmetics". It's all very interesting.

 

Moral of the story: March 1st they're releasing "Season 2" of their online movie series. Part of the way they're trying to engage the audience is by having people host viewing parties. They provide you with a DVD and a viewing "kit" that has discussion topics and such. I thought this might be something that could make for a good event?
